Where Denver's Youth MattersMovement 5280
MOVEMENT 5280 reaches for a higher calling, specifically for downtown Denver's teens and young adults to help them accomplish their dreams through mentor programs, education assistance and relational support. We are working to give hope for those youth having suffered substance abuse, domestic violence, other trauma, including those who desire to further their education, and simply others who need an occasional hot meal. We are striving to build trusting relationships by listening, caring, encouraging, and walking alonside of those who need to know that somebody cares, and that each always has a safe place to which they may return.
Though not all will choose to follow our faith, our ultimate goal is to lead by example and guide each person to a loving, fulfilling life with God as their Creator, through a personal relationship in Jesus Christ as their Savior: a life of love and nurturing that we believe to be unattainable any other way. We believe to act as Jesus would, without judgment or condemnation for the past acts of individuals, is the only True way to reach the hurting soul and heal the broken spirit.
